Israel Sees Sharp Decline in Job Vacancies in March

Israel's Central Bureau of Statistics reported a sharp decline in job vacancies in March 2026, down to 119,356 openings.

Jerusalem, 22 April, 2026 (TPS-IL) — Israel’s Central Bureau of Statistics reported that there was a sharp decline in the number of job vacancies in March 2026 with 119,356 openings, compared to 147,965 job vacancies in February.

There was a sharp decline in the job vacancy rate, 3.76 in March compared to 4.48 in February.

There was also a sharp 41% decline in the number of job vacancies in the hospitality and food industries, compared to a very moderate decline of only 1.4% in the manufacturing industries.
