Jerusalem, 16 September, 2026 (TPS-IL) — Israel’s Central Bureau of Statistics reported that exports totaled 16 billion shekels (about $4.3 billion) in August 2026, while imports reached 33.3 billion shekels (about $8.9 billion), resulting in a goods trade deficit of 17.3 billion shekels (about $4.6 billion).

According to trend data covering June through August, exports from the chemical manufacturing industry rose 41.0%, while imports of passenger cars for business purposes fell 21.2%.

The figures offer a snapshot of Israel’s trade balance amid broader economic conditions affecting import and export activity across key industrial sectors.
