Jerusalem, 17 September, 2026 (TPS-IL) — Nova festival survivor Shalev Biton and Younes Al-Krenawi, the Bedouin man who saved his life on October 7, will travel to New York to speak together at a major rally against antisemitism on September 23 at Dag Hammarskjöld Plaza, across from the UN, a day before Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu addresses the General Assembly.
Their decision to take the stage together is particularly striking during a week when Israel, antisemitism and the war will be at the center of international attention in New York.
The two were strangers when Younes stopped to help Shalev, who was fleeing the Nova massacre, risking his own life in the process. They now tell the story together, as survivor and rescuer, a Jewish man and a Muslim Bedouin.
Shalev will represent SafeHeart, which supports October 7 survivors’ mental health.
