Jerusalem, 9 September, 2026 (TPS-IL) — Israel’s first international medical school campus will be established in Eilat under an agreement signed Wednesday with Hungary’s University of Debrecen. The first cohort of 20 students has already begun studying in Hungary and will move to Eilat in February.
The campus is a joint initiative of the University of Debrecen, Ariel University, Clalit Health Services, the Eilat municipality and Medical Doctor Academy, aimed at expanding physician training and strengthening medical infrastructure in the Negev.
