Israel Expands Humanitarian Aid to Colombia After Deadly Earthquake

Israel is sending a second five-ton aid shipment with medical equipment to Colombia following the deadly August 10 earthquake.

Jerusalem, 20 August, 2026 (TPS-IL) — Israel will send an additional five-ton aid shipment to Colombia on Saturday night as it continues assisting the country following a severe earthquake, the Foreign Ministry said Thursday.

The shipment will include medical equipment for emergency first aid and will be dispatched as a joint Israeli rescue and humanitarian mission continues operating on the ground.

The 7.4-magnitude earthquake struck western Colombia on Aug. 10, killing at least 289 people and injuring more than 4,000.
