Jerusalem, 10 September, 2026 (TPS-IL) — Israeli President Isaac Herzog met with Cypriot President Nikos Christodoulides in Nicosia on Thursday to discuss strengthening bilateral ties and regional cooperation.
Herzog was welcomed at the Presidential Palace, where the two leaders held a private meeting followed by expanded talks on tourism, trade, security, energy, defense and other regional developments.
“My dream is for the President of Israel and the President of Cyprus to meet together with the President of Lebanon here,” Herzog said. “We should move toward peace in our region while making sure that terror is shunned and removed.”
