Weapons cache seized in Jerusalem – Main suspect arrested this morning upon landing at Ben Gurion Airport. Over the weekend, Jerusalem District police officers and Border Police dog handlers uncovered a large cache of weapons.

These include dozens of weapons, including war spoils, suspected of being stolen from the IDF and also leaked from combat zones and intended for criminal use or hostile sabotage activities. Holding these explosive materials in the heart of a civilian environment and in a shared residential building posed a real and immediate danger to the lives of the residents. The activity of the investigators from the Moriah station continued over the weekend with the aim of locating the main suspect in their theft and possession. This morning, upon his landing at Ben Gurion Airport, the suspect (in his 20s) was arrested and transferred for investigation.
