Jerusalem, 10 September, 2026 (TPS-IL) — Prosecutors filed an indictment in Haifa District Court on Thursday against a 50-year-old Tiberias resident accused of sexually abusing two brothers when they were 9 years old, about two decades ago.
According to the indictment, the defendant falsely presented himself as a professional therapist, developed a close relationship with the boys’ mother, and gained the family’s trust. He allegedly exploited that trust to repeatedly commit various sexual offenses against the two children over an extended period.
The indictment also charges him with false imprisonment, allegedly preventing the children from leaving and concealing them, as well as harming their sister several years later while outside Israel.
The charges include sodomy of a minor, indecent acts against minors, and false imprisonment.
