Jerusalem, 13 September, 2026 (TPS-IL) — Israel Police launched an investigation into a suspected triple murder after three men were found dead inside a burning vehicle in an open area near Baka al-Gharbiyye, an Arab city in the “Triangle” region of Israel near the Green Line, early Sunday. Investigators believe the incident was criminal.

The victims were identified as Yahya Basmiya, 22; Qasem Ouda, 20; and Yazan Ouda, 16, Qasem’s younger brother. The three had attended a wedding in Kafr Qasim on Saturday before going out together later that night.

Police suspect the three may have been murdered elsewhere before their bodies and vehicle were burned to destroy evidence. Large police forces conducted ground and aerial searches under Menashe District Commander Brig. Gen. Roni Fares.

According to Abraham Initiatives, the deaths bring the number of victims of violence in Israel’s Arab community in 2026 to 176.
