The Unit for Combating Crime in the Yarkon District solved a murder that occurred in Herzliya. On April 26, 2013, a report was received about shots fired at an apartment in Herzliya.

As a result of the shooting, a 47-year-old man was critically injured and later pronounced dead. Upon receiving the report, an investigation was opened by investigators from the Crime Fighting Unit of the Yarkon District. Following investigative actions, the suspect (21, Herzliya) was located and arrested while hiding in a hideout apartment in Kfar Saba. At the end of the week, a statement of claim was filed against him by the Tel Aviv District Prosecutor’s Office, in preparation for filing a serious indictment and a request for detention until the end of legal proceedings for committing the murder.
