Six Suspects Arrested for Assaulting Municipal Inspector on Jerusalems Agrippas Street

Jerusalem police arrested six suspects following an assault on a municipal inspector on Agrippas Street, a commercial area near Mahane Yehuda market.

Jerusalem, 27 August, 2026 (TPS-IL) — Six suspects were arrested in connection with an assault on a municipal inspector on Agrippas Street in Jerusalem, police said. The street, located in the city’s center and which borders one side of the famed Mahane Yehuda market – the Shuk – is a commercial area lined with retail stores and restaurants.

According to suspicions, a gathering developed at the scene, during which the inspector was attacked by several individuals using helmets and pepper spray.

Jerusalem District police officers, including the Jerusalem motorcycle unit and municipal policing teams, responded to the scene. The inspector was evacuated for medical treatment, and the suspects were arrested and transferred for questioning at the Lev HaBirah Station.
