Pharmacists at the Glilot base are suspected of stealing tens of thousands of medications intended for IDF soldiers and selling them privately. Over the past few months, a covert investigation has been conducted by investigators from the Central District Police.

Investigation materials revealed that the pharmacists fraudulently took tens of thousands of medications intended for IDF soldiers, some of which were prescription drugs. They systematically traded them on the “black market,” pocketing tens of thousands of shekels. It should be emphasized that trading in medications that cannot be used without a medical prescription poses a danger to public health. With the transition to an open investigation, two pharmacists were arrested on suspicion of offenses including theft by an authorized person, receiving goods under aggravating circumstances, reckless and negligent acts, and additional offenses under the Pharmacists Ordinance. Simultaneously, additional suspects were detained for questioning.
