Jerusalem, 3 September, 2026 (TPS-IL) — Detectives from the Lev Tel Aviv Station, operating in the Yarkon Sub-District As part of a proactive operation targeting drug trafficking, alongside Tel Aviv Border Police officers and a police K9 unit, seized approximately 455 kilograms of a substance suspected to be cannabis during a court-authorized search of a farm in the Hevel Modi’in region.
Forces observed a commercial vehicle surrounded by numerous cardboard boxes containing narcotics packaged in large quantities, suspected to be intended for distribution. The search also turned up roughly 13 grams of a substance suspected to be cocaine, approximately 21,000 shekels ($6,175) in cash, the commercial vehicle, and four mobile phones.
A suspect in his 30s, a resident of Givat Shmuel, was arrested and transferred for questioning at the Lev Tel Aviv Police Station. He was set to appear before the court Thursday, where police planned to request an extension of his remand.
