Jerusalem, 22 September, 2026 (TPS-IL) — A Jewish minor turned himself in to police Tuesday over his suspected involvement in a violent confrontation in the Judea and Samaria village of Qusra. He surrendered as Israel Police and the Shin Bet continue investigating the incident, with several suspects already arrested.
The August 29 clash erupted after a confrontation between Israeli youths and Palestinian residents escalated, with dozens of masked Israelis later entering a Palestinian home. The incident followed weeks of tensions in the village, including a settler siege of several Palestinian homes earlier in August.
Israeli outpost activists have described their actions as a response to Palestinian provocations and attempts to establish facts on the ground through unauthorized construction. They say security forces act firmly against them while failing to provide sufficient deterrence against illegal Palestinian construction, terrorism and stone-throwing.
Police continue gathering evidence and seeking additional suspects.
