Jerusalem, 10 September, 2026 (TPS-IL) — Jerusalem District Police Commander Maj. Gen. Avshalom Peled issued administrative closure orders against a mini-market in the Issawiya neighborhood and a construction site in the French Hill neighborhood, after officers found Palestinians residing in Israel without permits working at both locations.
The action followed an operation by Shalem Station police and Border Police units. Those detained were questioned and deported to the West Bank.
Under the orders, the French Hill construction site will remain closed until September 29, and the Issawiya mini-market until September 23, as part of ongoing police efforts to curb illegal employment and entry.
