Jerusalem, 20 August, 2026 (TPS-IL) — Judea and Samaria District Police officers came under threat during operational activity in Ariel, when the driver of a stolen vehicle broke through a police roadblock, endangering and attempting to run over an officer. The driver then rammed through the city gate, fleeing toward Salfit in a wild attempt to escape.
Ariel Station officers pursued the vehicle and, due to the danger posed by the suspect, fired at the car’s tires, bringing it to a stop shortly afterward.
The injured suspect is receiving treatment at the scene and will be evacuated for further medical care. The police investigation is ongoing.
