Dozens of Arrests Made in Past Week in Continuing Crackdown on Crime in Arab Communities

Jerusalem, 4 June, 2026 (TPS-IL) — Operation Iron Network: Regional police officers who continue to Combat Violence in Arab society and conducted a wide-ranging operation this week that included dozens of arrests, and hundreds of enforcement actions including, searches, deportations, checkpoints, and the removal of pirated cameras used by criminals.

As part of the activity, police forces set up about 150 police checkpoints on roads, dismantled and confiscated about 50 pirated security cameras that were installed for criminal purposes and dominate public areas, recorded about 250 traffic reports and carried out vehicle seizures.

Police activity in Operation Iron Network in April 2026 focused on targets involved in shootings and violence, and as a result, there was a 46% decrease in homicides compared to the same period last year.
