Jerusalem, 6 September, 2026 (TPS-IL) — Wolt on Sunday asked the National Labor Court to approve a settlement that would pay about $11.2 million to roughly 82,000 couriers who have worked through the platform in Israel since 2018.
The settlement follows a class-action suit alleging that Wolt wrongly classified couriers as independent contractors instead of employees.
The $11.2 million will be divided based on employees’ activity and number of deliveries since November 2018.
Wolt will guarantee average hourly pay of at least Israel’s minimum wage, currently $11.75. Eligible couriers can receive a pension grant matching up to 50% of their contributions.
The deal also includes expanded accident insurance, safety training and the right to appeal before being removed from the platform.
The settlement requires court approval and does not include an admission of wrongdoing.
