Jerusalem, 17 September, 2026 (TPS-IL) — Israel’s Land Authority announced the winning bid in a tender for land in the Ramat Negev Regional Council designated for commerce, offices, and tourism, including construction of 100 hotel accommodation units. Five bids were submitted, with the winner paying approximately 15 million shekels (about $4 million) for the land, excluding VAT and development costs.

The roughly 80-dunam (20-acre) site is part of the “Ramat Negev Regional Center” development plan, located northwest of Highway 40 in southern Israel.

The area is designed to include commercial space, offices, light industry, and tourism facilities alongside existing community infrastructure such as schools, a regional clinic, and a sports hall.
