Discount Capital Invests $26.65 Million in Israeli Gas, Renewable Energy Company

Israel Discount Bank's Discount Capital invests $26.65M for a 16.5% stake in Alumenergy Natural Gas Ltd., an Israeli company focused on gas and renewables.

Jerusalem, 24 August, 2026 (TPS-IL) — Discount Capital, the investment arm of Israel Discount Bank, will invest NIS 80 million ($26.65 million) in Alumenergy Natural Gas Ltd., in exchange for a 16.5% stake.

The business, acquired from Supergas, operates and manages cogeneration plants, facilities that simultaneously generate electricity and heat, with an active capacity of approximately 33 megawatts.

It manages an additional project pipeline of about 30 megawatts, supplying natural gas to industrial plants via distribution networks and compressed natural gas systems, as well as supplying gas to more than 1,000 buses and trucks.

Alumenergy was established by Aluma to consolidate its activities in natural gas, renewable energy, and energy storage.

Aluma, managed by Uri Yogev, Muli Ravina and Yair Hirsch, invests in infrastructure, energy, environmental services and communications.

In addition to Alumenergy, it owns Esco, a leading energy services company that upgrades building systems to save power, Tiber, which operates in the communications tower sector, and Chen Hamakom, which specializes in waste treatment.
