Jerusalem, 23 September, 2026 (TPS-IL) — ADAMA, an Israeli crop protection company, announced the launch of Actagon, a new herbicide for wheat farmers in India. The product is designed to control Phalaris minor and other weeds while reducing the need for multiple herbicide applications. Actagon combines two active ingredients in a ready-to-use formulation, meaning farmers do not need to mix different products before use.
ADAMA said the launch will focus on major wheat-growing states such as Punjab and Haryana, where resistance to herbicides has made weed control more difficult. Field trials in India showed effective weed control and improved crop performance after a single application.
