Suspected Partial Remains of Hostage Delivered to Israeli Forces

Jerusalem, 2 December, 2025 (TPS-IL) — The Red Cross transferred to Israeli soldiers findings believed to be the partial remains of a hostage, prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office confirmed.

After a brief military ceremony, the remains will be taken to the National Center for Forensic Medicine for analysis and identification.

The remains may be from a hostage whose body was already returned.

Around 1,200 people were killed and 252 Israelis and foreigners were taken captive by Hamas during the October 7, 2023, attack on southern Israel. The bodies of Israeli Police Master Sgt. Ran Gvili and Thai agricultural worker Sudthisak Rinthalak remain in Gaza.
