Jerusalem, 22 May, 2025 (TPS-IL) — An Israeli Embassy staffer was among two people killed in a shooting outside the Jewish Museum in Washington, D.C., on Wednesday, the embassy confirmed. The attack occurred during an event at the museum.

Israel’s UN Ambassador Danny Danon condemned the shooting as “a depraved act of antisemitic terrorism,” warning that targeting diplomats and the Jewish community “crosses a red line.” He called for firm U.S. action and vowed that Israel would continue to protect its citizens and representatives worldwide.

The FBI Joint Terrorism Task Force is leading the investigation, according to local reports.
