Israel to Establish New National AI Headquarters

Israel takes a strategic step towards the future with the establishment of a national AI headquarters in the Prime Minister's Office, aiming to boost economy

Jerusalem, 20 October, 2025 (TPS-IL) — The Israeli government has decided to establish a national headquarters for artificial intelligence, what it called a “strategic move for the future of Israel’s economy and security.”

The headquarters will be established as a support unit in the Prime Minister’s Office, with a budget of 120 million Shekels ($36 million) for the years 2025–2026. Within 120 days, a multi-year national plan will be submitted to the government for approval that will ensure long-term investments.

It will focus on three main areas: recruiting high-quality human capital, developing advanced computing infrastructures, and integrating artificial intelligence applications into state systems and will work to establish a strong computing infrastructure that will enable Israel to withstand global competition, and to attract first-class researchers and entrepreneurs.
